Guide World Classic Tour

Guide World Classic Tour is the unique combination of the four major long distance rollerski events across Europe. The series has been established in 2015 at the initiative of Alliansloppet in Sweden, Blinkfestivalen and Olaf Skoglunds Minneløp in Norway to encourage and increase the interest and participation in rollerskiing. Most importantly, World Classic Tour aims to keep a high interest in cross-country skiing sport and athletes regarding media, public and sponsors during the summer period.

The third edition of World Classic Tour in 2018 will experience several exciting news:

Guide’s company is becoming the title sponsors for the series for the next three seasons. This new partnership represents a great opportunity for World Classic Tour to develop and expand the series. Guide’s brand is a leader specialist in the conception of innovative protective gloves for workers in a broad range of industries.

The stages of the tour

Stage 1 Olaf Skoglunds Minneløp

OLAF SKOGLUNDS MINNELØP will launch the 2018 Guide World Classic Tour with one of the toughest and longest stage of the season. The athletes will certainly be eager to measure their shape after few months without racing. The 80 km will witness once again an exciting battle for being the first to wear the highly coveted yellow bib of WCT Champion. Pretenders to the victory will have to go through the magnificent journey from the Norwegian’s east cost pearl Kragerø to Gautefall without experiencing any failure in the final hill.

If you are ready for some adventures and discover outstanding landscapes, as only the Norwegian Telemark has to offer, this race is made for you. And if you do not feel confident enough to undertake the 80 km, you can register for shorter distance as the 50 km and 30 km without loosing anything of the Olaf Skoglund Minneløp’s spirit.

Stage 2 Blink Classics​

For the third time in its young history, BLINK CLASSICS will be part of Guide World Classic Tour 2018! The race will start in the centre of Ålgård to finish in the centre of Sandnes, crossing breath-taking landscapes amongst magnificent mountains and lakes.

The very best long distance skier specialists and World Cup cross-country skiers from all over the world will compete amongst amateurs. Blink Classics 2016 edition has seen an exceptional fight for the victory in the very animated centre of Sandnes. Who will succeed to Peter Northug and Britta Johansson Norgren on the 2017 edition? The answer on Wednesday 1st of August!

Stage 3 Alliansloppet

ALLIANSLOPPET is the world biggest rollerski event gathering more than 1600 participants in 2017. The race is held in Trollhättan, a city well known for its impressive waterfall and locks. The event, which gathers the world strongest long distance skier and some of the best Swedish skier, will celebrate its 10 years of existence. Last year winners Peter Eliassen and Hanna Falk will, with no doubt, give the best they have to defend their crowns.

The now mythic 16 km long loop to achieve three times leads the skier across scenic landscapes. The relatively easy track will be perfect for beginners and amateurs to take part to their first rollerski event. Alliansloppet is also a great rollerskiing and sport celebration! Numerous animations and events for young and old alike take place during a very intense and joyful week.


Stage 4 Fiemme Rollerski Cup

Welcome to Val di Fiemme, one of the most mythical cross-country skiing areas in the world! The Italian valley witnesses in the past some of the most thrilling episodes of the ski history by hosting three World Championships, several World Cup and the legendary Marcialonga. The track will follow long portions of the Marcialonga and will end on a spectacular finish: the arduous and grandiose Alpe Cermis climb which is certainly the toughest and most exciting stage of the winter Tour de Ski. What an exciting finish to end the third season of Guide World Classic Tour 2018!

The Champion bib is certainly the most exciting Guide WCT price, rewarding resilience, strength and excellence trough the four epic stages of the Guide World Classic Tour 2017. The yellow bib winner will be the strongest male/female athletes who will cumulate the most points during the season.



For speed lovers! The athlete who will wear the green bib will be with any doubt the fastest of the peloton when it will come to cross first the line of the WCT intermediary sprints disseminated throughout the different events.



Rewarding young athletes under 25 years old, the pink bib will be worn by the most talented youth athlete in both women and men category. It would not be surprising to see them play the first position amongst the experienced athletes.



Team spirit first! Rollerskiing is an individual sport but the team has an extremely important role in the performance of an athlete. The team ranking will reward the very best team at the end of the season.



On every stage the athlete who has made the greatest effort and who has demonstrated the best qualities of sportsmanship. The prize is awarded at each stage and decided by a jury.
